Sangrok Community Scholarships

At Sangrok Taekwondo, we believe martial arts should be accessible to everyone. Our community scholarship program provides subsidised taekwondo training to individuals who are facing significant life challenges and may not otherwise have access to the benefits of traditional martial arts.

We welcome applications from people in our local community who are experiencing hardship or disadvantage. This may include:

  • Victims of domestic or family violence
  • Refugees or asylum seekers
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • People living with disability
  • Those experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
  • Youth from low-income households
  • People facing mental health challenges or recovering from trauma
  • Families experiencing financial hardship
  • Young people at risk or disengaged from school or community

Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can build confidence, strength, resilience, and community through martial arts.

All applications are treated confidentially. Scholarships are limited and awarded based on need and capacity. Due to high demand, applicants may be placed on a waitlist and contacted as spaces become available. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to our community values.

Apply now via the form below, or contact us on info@sangrok.net.au directly if you have any questions. Please ensure you add our email address to your safe sender list or check your junk mail folder regularly.

Martial arts can be a powerful tool for building confidence, resilience, and community and we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to benefit. If you or someone you know could benefit, we encourage you to apply or reach out for more information. All scholarships recipients remain anonymous to the rest of the club to ensure your privacy.
