You will notice some changes around Sangrok!
Our new sign has been installed at the front of the dojang and we have had our lighting replaced so our training space looks much brighter. We also have new blinds coming soon (this should help to keep the dojang a bit cooler in summer) and hopefully the windows will be cleaned soon too!
If you have any skills, contacts, or suggestions for improvements to the dojang, please get in touch!
END OF YEAR CELEBRATION AND AWARDS
Our end of year party will be held on Sunday 30 November from 12-2 pm at Franklin Recreational Playground. We will have plenty of food but please RSVP so we know how many people to cater for.

BLACK BELT GRADING
Our annual black belt grading is coming up very soon! We have 5 students who will be grading on 16 November. Dev, Lily and Mikael will be testing for cho dan bo and Daniel and Andrew will be testing for 1st dan. If you see them at the club please wish them luck (although we know they won’t need it!)
COLOUR BELT GRADING
Our last colour belt grading for 2025 is coming up on Saturday 13 November. More information will be available soon!
CLUB TSHIRTS
During summer months (December, January, and February), students may choose to wear a tshirt to train (with normal dobok pants).
We have Sangrok tshirts available for purchase through our webstore. These are provided at cost price as we do not apply any extra charges.
We recommend purchasing Sangrok tshirts early so they arrive in time for the summer training months! If you would like your tshirt customised with your name, please just send us an email.
If you don’t want to purchase a Sangrok tshirt, your tshirt should:
- Be plain white or plain navy only. They shouldn’t have any logos, words or graphics.
- Have sleeves.

SUMMER TRAINING DATES
The last day of training for 2025 will be Saturday 20 December, with classes starting in 2026 on Saturday 10 January. Keep an eye on the Sangrok Students Facebook group as we may open the club for some uncoached open mats sessions. Please note that membership fees are calculated based on a yearly membership costs, then divided over even instalments, therefore student fees are still payable over the short shut down period in December and January.
